Eh, not to be the cynic but I'm not so sure that stuff is even still around, myself, if it ever was. After all studios and productions throw away as much as they make thinking it worthless crap at the time and assuming that it would always be so. Really if there was a time for MGM to actually make use (translation: money) out of that stuff it would have been with the Shout Factory releases and/or the Doc.
In any event I agree we've gotten all we're gonna get out of the sequels and so forth and this will be something R1 related. I of course would love to see something more about the sequels or shows or any of the other secondary stuff but again, think we've gotten all we'll ever get. That said hey if it is something that were haven't seen already definitely worth it though.

Lol after all this time I thought it was pretty obvious that's what I'm all about! :roll:
But yes I do think it's no mas on any more sequel stuff. Archive's fucking with us. Hey that's something he's been about before, the bastard.

I would say most on this board have probably already seen what they have found, since the video footage have been on youtube since some years ago. Can't find it now, but i saved the video.
Basically it's a few short reels of alternate take footage from Robo1. Similar to the uncut footage found on the Robo1 special features.
It's that guy Julien Dumont that worked with Murphy38 on Robo vs Predator that had and sent the reels to the robodoc team. Muprhy38 had the reels originally.

Why would it be that, when they've already got a snippet of it in the trailer? They know we've seen those Director's Cut takes before. Doubt they'd be so arrogant as to declare "the most ardent" fans "have never seen" what they've acquired.

It is NOT the actual directors cut footage that is already on most Robo DVDs, it's OTHER similar footage from other scenes.
There's a scene of Robo in the garage and other ones.

Fair enough. Incidentally, the first film aired on its original UK network, ITV, for the first time last night in over 25 years. The opening 15 minutes before the initial commercial break had none of the swearing and Kinney's death reduced to a single shot. His lower back, when one of the blood bags appears briefly. Even then, I think they trimmed that.
The omissions of "fuck" and "fuckin'" made for some awkward edits. Was like the old TV cut. Awful.
