How old were you when the original Robocop film was released?
I was 7 years old. And I remember it well.

I was 3 when it was released.
I think I first saw it on TV around 1990/91 (I'd have been 6/7) in its edited glory and then around 1995 (I'd have been 11) I found it on VHS and was finally able to buy it and see it with the swearing and violence intact.
Despite the age rating being clearly displayed on the boxes, I was able to purchase copies of RoboCop and RoboCop 2 on VHS when I was 11 and no-one batted an eyelid. They were sealed brand new tapes and incredibly cheap.

Man I feel old when on-line, even here where the first movie was back in 87. Anyway, released just before I turned 10.
I didn't see the movie until I was 17 though, after catching part of the 2nd movie on TV I went out to buy the movies and picked up the series as it was airing.
