Teyon is back with a new standalone spinoff to Rogue City called Unfinished Business. The premise is RoboCop has to fight his way to the top of an OCP tower taken over by thugs. There will also be flashback scenes were you play as Alex Murphy, as seen in the trailer.

I loved Rogue City so I'm totally down for more. If there was one thing I wanted from Rogue City, it was some kind of the arcade or challenge mode. The story was great but a quite slow so it didn't have endless replay value. Unfinished Business appears to have a greater focus on action so this may be just what I was looking for. And while Rogue City was great it was far from perfect on a technical level, so the fact that this is a standalone game and not just DLC is great news to me. If they can polish up some of the rough edges from Rogue City this could be a nice step forward. And of course its inspiring to see that Rogue City did good enough to warrant a sequel or followup of any kind. Its not RoboCop vs Terminator but its just another step closer...

I was only saying to my other half the other day how I'd love some DLC
I like the idea of Murphy flashbacks from his days (presumably) at Metro South. Hopefully his days there were a little more successful than his transfer.
Oh, I forgot.
YEAH BOIIIIIIIII!

Yeah, this one looks more action based than the previous one, which is good to me when I think on replaying it. I still play Rogue City from time to time, but it could be annoying when you quit and resume it next day (or week) to find you were stuck to save a kitten or find a towel
I wonder when it takes place. Rogue City fits between movies, but this one feels more "futuristic" than Robo 3. Plus, the lack of Lewis on the trailer and that way too tech-y, modern building... Feels different storywise from filling the gaps between films.
But more RoboGames are fine to me!

From what I understand the Omni Tower is a massive living block that's been taken over by mercenaries. Think a scaled down Mega Block I guess.
Add into the judge and executioner line and I'm getting some nice Judge Dredd vibes.

Yeah. It remind me of 2012´s "Dredd". And one step ahead of the world of the films. Plus the Frozen feature on the Auto-9.
But it looks great and I want to take a look (and play it). Grateful for new RoboContent.

Always.
I'm going to keep things as pure as possible. I think I can count on one hand the amount of times I picked up an alternate weapon or used one of Robo's expanded abilities.
Just give me an Auto-9, a targeting grid, and that glistening titanium laminated with Kevlar and I'm good to go.

I´m with you. With Rogue City I always use the Auto-9. When you configure it a little it´s a blast. And it´s cooler than the other regular firearms you could find along the ride.

Configuring it with boards is a fun mini game in itself.
I never use full Auto though. I stick to the three round burst with the occasional single shot à la the target practice scene.
Nut shots deserve absolute precision.

A little bit like the Ocean puzzle sections.
Let´s see how this new thing goes. It´s really great Teyon didn´t let the character go after one try, like it usually goes in other cases.

The stream description mentions "special forces equipped with jet packs or even katana-wielding foes who look more machine than man." which makes me feel like this game will continue to lead into RoboCop 3. I imagine we'll learn about the origin of Robo's prototype jetpack, even if we don't actually use it. We'll probably fight some of the robot ninjas like the one in RoboCop 3. Even though there was nothing to suggest Robo had fought anything like that before, there is nothing that says he has not either. So I think Unfinished Business will be a little side story leading into RoboCop 3. Rogue City was very detailed in establishing its place in the timeline, so I don't think they would ignore that for this game. Instead I think they will just say Lewis is off doing something else or couldn't make it inside in time, and then Robo has this self contained solo adventure. And I'd bet the ending sees the whole tower get destroyed, so there is no question of where it was during RoboCop 3. I'm thinking about the crazy approach they took to answering the question of where the Old Man went between 2 and 3, and I'd like to see them keep that same vibe going with building up to RoboCop 3.

It looks amazing! They are definitely taking full advantage of the license. Now we just need for him to go up against SkyNet... _________________

Watched it yesterday and I thought they´re going into TV Robo. I meant, the "machine capable to control all OCP´s devices" and/or that Omnitower sounds similar to MetroNet/S.A.I.N.T more than anything in the film franchise. Of course I doubt they´d be able to incorportate any details from the shows since they have the rights to the movies, but I found it funny.
The "Don´t you remember me?" line worries me a little bit, since it seems to fall into the same New Guy In Town plot, somebody from the past (or "related" to somebody from the past) appearing again. But it´s a trailer, so we could only speculate at the moment.

I got that. From what the synopsis says it seems he knows Murphy from the past, and that they have the same goal of protecting Detroit just using completely opposite methods.
Plot twist, it's Robert Boddicker.
