I’ve been a fan since I was 10 in 1987 and the film became my obsession and I watched everything Robocop related. I realize a lot of my questions seem dumb and I am now considered a bot, but I’ve been here for many years and miss people like Nika and her beautiful artwork. And I still read the fanfiction of Eva Rojano. When you have deep depression like I suffer from, you hope to be accepted somewhere but I guess I’m not wanted here either because no one ever answers me. I was told Im a bot; It hurts! However, here are some things I questioned after rewatching the original film.
For example, the script said Murphy kills Clarence when he punched him at the end. Shouldn’t a punch from Robocop have killed Miller instantly? Why did Morton have such animosity towards Kinney? After Clarence runs into Emil and the car flips over, Lewis gets out and looks over to her left like she spots something, but he landed to her right where the shots came from? And last but not least, I remember Nancy Allen saying her father was a cop and I’m sure cops have to follow the orders of their commanding officer. By the end, Lewis says she’s Murphy’s partner but didn’t Reed assign her to “Officer Jerry?”

My interpretation is the smile at the end of the first film shows Robo has accepted what he is, and is somewhat content with how things are. I think that in itself shows he appreciates discovering his identity. That, or he enjoyed blasting Jones out of a window.
The problem is with the sequels. RoboCop feels like a very "one and done" movie, wherein it stands on its own with no real need for any expansion. With RoboCop 2, you get the whole thing with Ellen, with that the idea that RoboCop is even more so of a tragic character. This alone slaps my personal interpretation at least half way, because while he may have accepted, there's no way he can be content.
Or maybe, after all the shit he's been through, he smiles at the fact someone complimented him and treated him with a bit of respect, and a person.

Definitely bots unfortunately. The reason this board does not accept any new members.
It's just relentless the amount of bots that want to post spam.

"Welcome to the club Bob".
It's a great feeling to be part of a very exclusive club.

I’m not a new member; I’ve been here for a long time but no one ever replies to my posts. Very frustrating for a RoboFan!

I think the harsh reality is that with social media forums aren't as "needed" anymore, so I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with your topics or posts, it's just a numbers game.
I'll admit, I lapsed on here for a while, but I've been making an effort to check in because this is the only forum I've even been a member of, and it'll be 20 fucking years next year!
Honestly man, some of the guys were absolute gems. Fingers crossed Amazon get their shit together, we get a banging series, and some long standing members, or even new ones, get in on this place.
If our benevolent dictator lets them in that is

I think that Message Boards have had their day now, as there are so many ways to get 'live' discussion and sharing, though I personally think they have a charm that is lost with instant gratification. _________________

I think it´s more easy to find topics and things you find interesting. On social media you could spot anything, the thing refreshes itself and you lost that post. Or it gets buried over more popular or recent ones.
Plus, there´s more like as a club than social media, where at times it could be flooded with spam, AI artwork or silly comments.
I like being in here.

Hit the nail on the head. It's... neater, easier to follow and catch up, respectively. There's a sense of community on Message Boards that I don't get nearly as much from FB groups. That being said, yeah, they've definitely had their day... other than RA, there's only one other board I frequent, but that one's still pretty much active. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

That hits hard man, real hard.
I'm feeling real morose now. I get I'm part of the problem when it comes to showing up, so I'm aware of my hypocrisy, but the inevitably hurts.
Fuck that.
