Gremlins and ET are awesome! I even recently got the comic book adaptation of Gremlins. As for the live action TF - the first one was cool, but the second one is a pile of bulshit.

Quote:
.Question what was so horrible about this flick

It wasn't as horrible as other blockbusters this year, it just screamed "DVD RENTAL". It was just so bloody formulaic and predictable. I don't think there was a single action sequence, even the over-the-top ones that I hadn't seen before.

I watched "Year One", which disappointed me and the Hangover, which was a pile of unfunny shit.

Comment: Is my new life a reward for the one I led?

Gamer.

It was okay.

I was actually getting kind of nauseous during the begining. There were so many cuts (most of which were quick "rack focus" shots) that I was seriously thinking I was going to get Epilepsy.

And it didn't help that a lot of the time there were a shit ton of strobe lights going off. So that with the quick shots was a little.....mentaly unsettling.

It made me think of the evolution/continuation of the MTV generation. And I felt old when I thought the further speed at which young people can percieve information these days.

But it wasn't bad. It's no masterpiece but it could have been better in terms of story and plot. And maybe just toned down a smidgen with the intensity/frequency of the shots and strobe lights.

Bottom line: Crank (the film) on speed.

Right now I'm Watching Robocop2 on G4's movies that don't suck. Too bad they're making it suck by watering it down. But, it's still cool that it's on TV.

^ Sean posted a thread about that some time back, saying it was edited to to the point of near non-watchability. They also show Robo3, calling it a 'movie that doesn't suck'. Bah.

As for me, I've seen some stuff - Patriot Games and The Negotiator, as well as T2.

Also been catching a few episodes of Las Vegas as well.

See, what G4 needs to release is a "Channel that doesn't suck"
Reruns of good material and one half watchable show doesn't cut it.

Don't have the channel, so I ain't had the pleasure of its sucktitude. tongue

Jay Leno's new show is pretty good, despite the fact it usually feels rushed 'cause it's only an hour long. Still nice to see some old bits like 'Headlines' again though. Smile
