But I got the notion to check out the official trailer today, and had to share the link.

Not liking Rourke's character design. I do not see how this is a menacing villain, with his naked upper torso. Just shoot him in the head or harass him with a BB gun for shits and giggles while he whips himself.

Even with his whip/tendrils I don't see how he won't get his ass kicked.

Iron Man just flies up 40 feet or so and Mickey is powerless.

Though in the trailer it appears that Mickey catches Tony off guard at some drag racing event.

Still even then, I don't see the danger. Maybe Mickey also makes all those "robots" (?) that Iron Man and War Machine are killing in one of the trailers.

Because the danger has to surpass a certain level to warrant the creation/inclusion of War Machine. Now I'm not a reader of the Iron Man comics so I'm not sure how W.M. came to be, but in terms of the movie I think that makes sense.

The first Iron Man movie did have a nice story of how one man came to be 'a superhero' like all the other movies before it (e.g. Spiderman, Hulk of The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, X-Men, Fantastic Four etc.)

I honestly found Robert Downey Jr. a little bit different from all the rest. He's a big shot billionaire and doesn't have a care for the world, suddenly, he visits the U.S. army and shit accidentally hits the fan, his heart's now powered by a car battery, builds a big metal bulky suit and fights his way out, his life has now completely changed forever...but he still acts like a party animal.

So he beats down some bad guys, admits to the world he's Iron Man and everybody's happy...The End.

I never found it the same as the first one, it just sucked for me, it literally sucked.
