I always had the feeling that the film will be not finished on the time in the 2011 but I hoped .. Well MGM So then I hope you will give to us amazing Robocop for the long and patient waiting. 2 years is quite enough of time to make good script and good story ...So I really hope the delay will be good for something !

Well thanks for the info Nash....But do be honest I'm over the whole Robo remake or retelling or sequel thing,Everyone know's that they won't deliver anything worth watching when productions are troubled they seldom result in anything good..And this proposed Robo can't even get off the ground.Plus MGM's long delayed limbo remake of Red Dawn can't even get into distribution none of this bodes well for the franchise with D.A. involved or not..

Honestly, I hope they trash the idea or at least the current director. I'm not liking his talk of starting from scratch without being connected to the original film whatsoever. I'd be cool with an highly improved sequel though however.

So far, the current Dynamite comic series comes the closest for delivering a sequel on par with the first movie....to me anyway.
