The thing about the Tv series is that I guess there's a big paradox in there...let's face it, it's made for kids, but yet, there's a lotta adult satire and some almost adult-erotic scenes on the first episode and on "Prime Suspect", I mean...I understand they wanted to turn the violence down on the series, because a lotta kids were kinda been drawn into RoboCop because he's a "cool robot" to begin with, but let's face it, the series really sucked when it came to bring Robo's dark humor to life (and the obviousness lack of violence).

Which all in all is a true pitty, mainly because there's so much potencial on this character and on what you can bring out on the Deus-Ex Machina theory and philosophy, and also on Murphy's tortured soul, and they wasted millions on getting Robo to use...tasers...and taggers...and fists. Oh my.

Still, the production's good! Smile If you notice, there is atention to detail, Robo is nicely characterized (well, most of the times actually...everytime the stuntman dons the suit, you just can say it because his jaw line is kinda stiff comparing to Eden's), the sound editing is great, and the music is nice. Although I'd still reduce a lot of music, and enhance the violence and remove the childish behaviour of most 'criminals' (kid show, remember...? lol), it still gets entertaining to watch.
Specially if you're on the "What If?" kind'a thing (comic geeks will understand this one hehe).

Anyway, not wanting to bring it about yet again, if you wanna see the series on a different perspective, you can always download my mashup using a lotta excerpts from various episodes to turn it into a 90-minute movie: My own Dropbox public link:

I must say, that at first I didn't get to understand Diana in the series... but now that I've watched the whole episode, it makes perfect sense... and now I have a crush on DIANA (portrayed by Andrea Roth)... BIG TIME! tongue

For me the series improved with every episode, as well as Eden getting better at portraying the character, i still prefer Burke rather than Eden though just my opinion i guess.

Yeah Richard Eden did better in the later releases that's a thing for sure, the main aspect about the robocop series i personnally dont really like is how kid friendly it is.
On the first episode we were sitting our asses next to tv waiting for robocop to blow some shit, and ohhhhh surprise nothing, i'm even surprised if there's a drop of blood during the entire tv-show.

The acting is doing good, the plotline not so much and the kid friendly aspect ruined everything.
From where i standing i'd say robocop the tv series is a thing we should look to give it a try, but without great expectations

I rewatched the whole thing on youtube since someone put all the episodes on.

There's a strange theme going on between Robo and the females, all obviously with his wife (sort of), and in the episode When Justice Fails with the woman having a obsession with him, then watch the episode Crime Time and the way the female host of the show reacts when she meets him, and again in the episode Illusions when the girl (spoilers the bad guy) meets Robo in the robo chamber.

it's a weird little silly ongoing joke I believe.

I loved how Robo's wife Nancy is like "there is something familiar about you..." and Robo has to turn tail and make a hasty story why hes ALWAYS around her and Jimmy but never aluding to anything although it kills him not to LOL

but yet the series totally ignored how Nancy already knew that her husband was robocop.

"Er um no no its that we are all cops...yes thats right we look out for er...you" *cheesy grin*

Are you on about the scene in Robo 2?

If so, the series doesn't take into account anything other than the first film so that'll be why.

I didn't know the series existed until I saw it at walmart, bought it,watched it...took me a while to warm up to it....I thought it was ridiculous...pudface morgan...seriously...and yeah it was toned down....I liked the new gadgets he had but the villians were stupid...working on watching Robocop:Prime Diectives now....there is only 1 robocop and that is Peter Weller!
