Thats fucking awesome, the Archive is going to be a part of the statue.
I told my buddy at work and he wants to go with me, we have to get whoever goes together and somehow watch RoboCop and get shitty drunk and then go bow and pray to
our god.
Plust it would be a badass photo with some members in attendance, Anti your going right?

Well, if we're all going the archive shirt idea with peoples screen names on them I think will be mandatory. I'm all for getting some shirts made. I'm gonna work on some designs this morning. See what you guys think. Plus, I think the archive shirt is a good idea anyway, no matter what.

Fuck, I really don't want to kick down cash on trip to Old Detroit, but I'm pretty stoked on this. I might have to make the trip if it all goes well.
Hahaha, I can see it now, the state side Archivers crammed into a little hotel room getting hammered and watching R1. Slurring lines from the movie all the way through. Then staggering out in the middle of the night to pay homage to the statue. Cult status.

so, it's been a year now...
What's happening with this now? Have they finished? Will there be an unveiling? Did people just waste their money and not see anything in return? A lot of money was raised by people WANTING this statue to happen.
...So what's the deal? Where is it?

I think they missed a big promo opportunity not having it ready for the 25th anniversary. That would have been ideal.
Anyway, this was posted on Monday August 6.
