The helmet is probably just off between takes. And we know this is the earliest incarnation of Padilha's RoboCop because this is supposedly his unveiling ceremony and if there's any truth to the script details that were released then he'll gradually become more robotic. Which is better than what it looks like so far. But I'll hold judgement until I see something finished. I did notice that on one "chest plate" there is a badge and on the other is the OMNICORP logo.

Hmm...I know this is a limited observation based on early set production shots, but in each of these pics, the suit looks like it will warp and crease like rubber or latex if the actor moves in it. The original suit truly looked as if it were a cybernetic body that was assembled. This new suit simply looks like a latex suit! As far as the supposed modular nature of the new body, I wouldn't mind it so much; that was one of the cool things about Robo in Robocop 3; he had the cool arm attachment with the sub-machine gun and missle-launcher that he could detach and re-attach as needed. But if they don't make that suit look robotic and mechanical like the original, it won't be as believeable and memorable.

I don't know guys...I'm sure it will be a cool movie, but it won't truly be be Robocop in the sense that we all know it. I'm beginning to have my doubts, and I've been pretty optimistic up until now. I'll still see it out of morbid curiosity, but I'll probably always revere the original film as the definitive version.
