I can foresee this as being a marketing move to keep the movie from releasing during the end of the summer season. There are a lot of movies to contend with next summer and by pushing it to February they stick it in a normally slow period in which it has the potential to do better. Also, if they do plan a 3D conversion then they can boost ticket sales by adding in the 3D premium cost.

They just recently started filming in September so I don't think we'll be seeing any teaser or trailer for quite some time. Maybe at the end of the year or early 2013.
I'm hoping they will release some official promo pictures soon though, to really see how the suit will look like with correct lighting and effects.

June,So 5 months ago,But it also has a 2013 release date,And is being produced by a very efficient studio....

And aside the real movie it has tons of more CGI than any Robocop movie should ever have....So i think their job is a lot harder....I do however agree that they are spending a lot more for Iron Man 3 than the others do for the new Robocop (not that i can blame them the way this is turning out to be).

Chances are it's being fast tracked too what with the recent success of The Avengers and Iron Man itself.
Which is the exact opposite of what is happening with the reboot which is a shame really considering we have been messed around enough.
How long until the studio decides that yet another film should take RoboCop's place?
