too true.
For me that track is the best. It best communicates the sense of revenge RoboCop was about to get. And the sense of failing as the steel beams fall onto him.
Then the urgency of the fight followed by the final revenge by RoboCop.
By far the best use of musical scoring thanks to the late great Basil Paledoris.

Robocop soundtrack is one of the few soundtracks in which I absolutely love every track and each and everyone can be a favorite. I cant pick a favorite, but I can tell you which 3 ones Im listening to first:
Drive to Jones' Office
Rock Shop
Showdown

I can't believe nobody mentioned 'Care Package', from the scene in the steel mill when Robo removes his helmet and learns about his family from Lewis. The childlike "music box" sound, the sad orchestra, the revisit of "Twirl", as well as that synth grinding sound when the helmet is lifted (almost like a representation of the robot fading away as the humanity returns).
Just an emotive, tragic, yet wonderfully expressive piece.

It's hard to pick one song over another, cause I really like the whole OST. Showdown easily sticks out for me, as well as we killed you and home.

"Home" from the first movie for me.... it's a beautiful piece, that combines a bit of mystery, along with love, and at the end pain and rage...

I would love the remake to have Christopher Drake as the original composer! Sony has chosen Brazil's composer Pedro Bromfman as composer, dont get me wrong, this Pedro guy is talented, he's worked on one of my favorite soundtracks Max Payne 3, but that was perfect because the game was set in brazil, the thing thst worries me, is he will portray the music to represent Robo totally wrong, like in any remake, they add hard core guitars and drums..if you get the chance look up Pedro Bromfman. In my opinion I would love to have Christopher Drake as the new composer/ writer for the ne Robocop score, definitely look up Christopher Drake, he's worked on one of my favorite soundtracks The Dark Knight Returns here's a link to my favorite track on that album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bgUYvT2duY&feature=youtube_gdata_player
