Uggh. I have a brother like that...yet he still seems to be equal to all the other brothers in my family. I have 3 brothers, one drunken smoker, one very smart prosperous brother, and one complete ass hole who fails at everything. Then there's me. I don't have kids though, so maybe my parents are just weird.

Yellow Submarine, my most favourite movie out of all my favourite movies. It was great, it had a nice story to it, it didn't made you feel bad for taking acid and it was just an all-round fun movie to watch.

most of you know that I have a boner for zombie films. Namely Romero's. But let me reiterate here, I love the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead. Such a great piece of cinema. It's got zombies, exploding heads, satirical observations on ultra-violent consumer society, and make up effects by the legend Tom Savini.

Anyways, as soon as I finished watching a copy I rented from Blockbuster (remember those?) I found a used copy of the Ultimate Edition, which contains a theatrical cut, extended cut, european cut, and a full disc of documentaries and special features. Each version offering different feels chronologically and editorially. I could go into great detail here but lets just say that each cut brings something to the table.

So much in fact, that I've always wanted to do a fan cut of all three myself. Combining the best parts into one "Ultimate Ultimate" cut.

Anyways, yeah. Classic non-senile Romero, gotta love it.
