MGM has released a sales sheet in which they collect all upcoming RoboCop projects such as statues, figures and comics. Oh and the new movie of course.

That is very interesting. Hopefully it means they will release more stuff than "just" the standard RoboCop figures. There are plenty of those already. Here's hoping for a RoboCain and the two Prototypes.
( Exactly why they chose to display that abomination of a RoboCop figure on that sales sheet is beyond me though. )

Thank You for the update MKII good news.
I think Hot toys will be doing new stuff, not remakes of their older toys, the movie comes out in supposed 2013. They can't be making stuff for the movie that has not even been made yet.
It must be new items like Cain or other characters from the Robocop movies. The only thing Hot Toys did not do was a battle damage Robocop, other then that, it better be some major stuff, because ED-209 was all ready been done by them.
Note words "New Figures"
Have they ever released any of their toy lines, I know some Predator stuff is way up their in price?

If you're talking about the BIG HEAD Robo; I don't know about you, but I LIKE IT... as a "bubblehead" figure, that is.
Still, I prefer to see something in the accurate lines of McFarlane, or NECA, MEDICOM, or even GENTLE GIANT (I know, I'm mixing some Star Wars licenses here, but all good). _________________ - Robert

I'm really excited about this. I think the last time I was able to buy some cool Robo toys was back when I was a kid, they had a huge selection of them at my local KB Toys(which I think, doesn't even exist anymore). I really hope they do a bunch of OCP branded merch like shirts or supplies with the logo and/or catch phrases. I'd be really stoked for sure

They had more than 2 years to make something better finished than this red visor art; i hope MGM is busier with a better art direction for all new movie materials.
WTF is that big Robo head?!

It is still the same old crappy CG head but they at least made some slight changes to it. There is a visable city reflected as well as an explosion. Not mind blowing stuff, i think they could have pulled out something better as the overall head still looks really awkward.

Yes, it reminds me of early years in 3d computer generated graphics. I noticed the big city reflected, and the explosion too. I just don't know if the visor is red because of explosion reflection, or is red just for making a contrast with blue.
The logo is awful too. Out of concept, those bolts placed randonly, the horizontal metal plate has no function at all, the other characters have to many hard edges, they are bad constructed aswell. This graphic identity would fit for some kind of civil construction business, but a new Robo movie deserves something much better.
I really hope they abandon this concept as soon as possible, and hand it over to better design professionals.

I think the render in general sucks for the most part. It looks like something a amateur graphic artist made back in the early 2000's, then someone found it and did some random edits and color changes. I believe the red is simply there for contrast to the blue(as Igor noted). I feel like they could have done so much more with it. Hopefully they'll make some newer better posters when they have more progress done on it.
