That's the same one I have, but I've already cut it in four parts, two for the back of the arms and two for the back of knees.
This are screen grabs from ROBO 1 and 2, showing the inserts at different angles.
Robo 1
Robo 2
On last pic, you see perfectly the detail of the elbow insert. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see any good reference for the back of the knees. Now, one insert I would like to see, though not really that visible, but useful, for the ankles…
(EDIT: I remember there's a scene clearly showing the back of the knees, but on ROBO 3 when he fights the Splatterpunks). _________________ - Robert

Thats really helpful. I will check that out on my blueray. Just found a supplier for silicone with a black catalyst. I think I am going to tackle these pieces. the arm seems like it would be better sculpted as a sleeve piece that way it could be slipped on. the back of the leg unless stitched to the under suit, I am not sure how that would be connected as nothing sticks to silicone. I guess it could be stretched over some small screws but that might not be to comfortable. It could be a sleeve as well, but if I offer these up to the group I might be concerned about sizing. I have an athletic build but am average size, guess I could go a little bigger to be safe.

Back of the knees might only be attached by the screws on the sides of the legs when you're putting it together. No worries if it falls down since your leg itself will keep them in place. _________________ - Robert

I just finished looking at the movie for reference and it looks like there is some detail inside the kneecap area as well. Maybe the Knee piece needs to be a sleeve as well.

The Robo 2/3 joint inserts a way WAY better looking..And more in tune with the overall design of the suit.

I agree. I might go that way. Or maybe I will do both. Will have to see. I am thinking I will be casting them in vi-sil 1068. Tinted black. They will be soft like the neck piece from anticlaus.

NIIIIICE! I'll be looking forward for them. Here's the pic I told you from Robo 3 of the back of the knees, which looks almost the same style as in the front of the elbow inserts like pics 4 and 5 above,

I prefer the inserts of the 1st film due to him being a prototype. Just as i prefer the messy wired midsection of C-3PO form ANH.
The Robo 2 inserts are nice for different reasons since technically there was a nice amount of time to redesign them to be more functional, both real and movie world. I would assume that after having been patched up from 1 that he would have been upgraded.
Now, on the shot of the ankle, is that pic squashed? His foot looks really short and especially tall. Or did they reshape it for #2?

Yeah you are correct. The aspect ratio looks to be a bit off. to narrow making it look squat.
