Enterbay announced the release date for the figure: July 2012
Expect to see pictures on the net around March 2012
Scale will be 1/4 and the figure will be based on the original ROBOCOP 1 movie _________________

Everybody needs to go to ENTERBAY's Facebook and vote for the most anticipated 1:4 scale figure for 2012. Right now Robo is narrowly ahead of a Batman figure.

Call me ungrateful but the way every company always release a "RoboCop1" figure is getting kinda boring. I already have a bunch of them and would really like to see something new done with our hero.
Hot toys headed in the right direction, ED209, Robo3 flightpack, but fell on the finishing line before they made a RoboCain.

I don't think that sounds ungrateful at all Archive.
I think RoboCop product lines need variety and if you're gonna do Robo1, why not do the other characters and variations and figures from the sequels like HT did (minus Cain).
But I have yet to see an '87 model done completely right. HT came close with detail. NECA with proportions. If Enterbay gets Weller's likeness I feel pretty good about it. I think they're on par with Cinemaquette

I agree entirely, I already have several different Robocops in different sizes, and the only one that is any different looking than the rest is the batttle-damaged 12" from McFarlane. As big a Robocop fan as I am I can't justify plunking down another $20-$50 on yet another basic Robo.
I completely understand where these companies are coming from. They figure (no pun intended) that the average consumer, who is not necessarily a 'fan', will only be enticed to buy the cool robot and not some little-known human character who vaguely resembles the dad from That 70's show.
However, there must be a point at which the market is saturated with too much of the same thing and there will be no one left interested in a Robo figure who doesn't already have one. So I hope that one of these companies decides to do more with he license and make more figures/product to supplement the standard Robocop.

I wouldn't mind a RoboCop 2 figure, al they have to do is make it blue and glossy.
I want it "like a damned show car" as Rob Bottin once said.

The other day I posted on ENTERBAY's Facebook wall that they need to post some teaser pics of their Robo figure. Another guy who's a lurker here backed me up and referred them here to the Archive. I said some stuff about us being the biggest fan base and harshest critics and that as long as they get Weller's likeness, all's good.
Then ENTERBAY said thanks for the link and that we'd be impressed. I'm gonna take that as meaning they have his likeness. And judging by their past figures I'm gonna have to start selling body parts.

Perfect work POCOBOR ! True Robocop fans know what is the best and how things should look. Maybe they will find here some inspirations and good ideas if they will read at least something. Althought I doubt someone from them will be read it .
I have seen figures from Enterbay, they did very solid work. I not doubt they will create a perfect RoboCop figure, but what was always missing in every of Robocops figure, was Wellers likeness. (Well, Neca was quite nearly ) but Hot-Toys was disappointment with the his face.
PT for ya.
