Since you guys are talking about the movie and showing images from Comic-con it just sort of seems reasonable to post these pics here instead of start a new topic.



About 7 years ago I rebuilt a Hansing suit for my friend Eric. We've modified it a lot, I'm guessing only people on a board like this would even see the imperfections. Eric hasn't worn it in 5 years and we all sorts of problems getting it to fit but after all this time, we were still able to get him in it in about 15 minutes.




If you take a careful look at where the jaw goes, you can see the mics I installed, one on each side. Each one plugs into his ears so unlike many armor suit wearers, he can actually hear. In the inner edge of the jawpiece there's a third mic which feeds down to the voice modulator in the chest and out the speaker behind the armor. It's kind of neat to hear him speak in a combo of a human and deep, modulated voice. People back off with that "whoa!" look when he does that. Big fun.




I'm a little bummed that we had to tape the ankles shut but it was a field repair, not intended to be how it normally works. The armor's home now and I'll probably be expanding the ankle area a bit so they stop popping off.

So at anyrate There was again little to no Robo info at the co the Banners were about it with the exception of the Neca spring loaded holster fig,Got lot's of pic's threw my helmet on for some pic's at the Hardrock banner and the Omnicorp banner in the lobby of the convention center I will be posting those pic's soon as I can..

I'd had a thought about the 209, it would be cool if they had different models for different purposes. Like a large one for full scale wars, etc and the smaller one for "policing" or whatever policing it could do.

I'm not surprised to see the majority here disliking the news on the re-boot/re-make. Initially I was skeptical, but it appears they are putting a lil money behind it, actors I like, and more importantly...a director I like. This movie is not going to be Robocop 1, or anything like Robocop that we've seen before, and I'm okay with that. If I wanted to watch Robocop1 again, then I'd do exactly just that (which I did a couple of hours ago ). I'm ready for something different, but still Robocop. Details will be different, the characters will be different, but the story (for the most part) will remain the same. Robocop is about a former cop turned cyborg law enforcer who fucks shit up all the while dealing with his remaining human nature. So far the people on board the project haven't said anything different.

I can understand if some trailers came out, and it looked terrible, but we barely have any images of anything yet. The one picture (that we believe is Robo's shoulder) looks dope AF to me. But let's just say it is a over-produced turd.....it's not like we haven't seen any shitty Robocop movies/shows (almost everything not named Robocop 1 by Verhoeven is crap). There are things I like/liked about Robocop 2, but as a whole?

I think most people here like the idea of a reboot. Because this approach respects the original as a piece of art and just tries to show the concept from a different perspective. And like you said, if it sucks, you can always go back and watch the original.
