Probably just some skyline shots so they don't have to use out of date stock shots like they did in the first movie. _________________

That's what I'm thinking. Although the mention of using the closed down Packard plant (possibly just a rumor) has me interested. If you google 'Packard plant Detroit' you'll see what I mean. It's an awesome RoboCop location.

That reminds me of Blues Brothers 2000: They filmed it in Toronto and some second crew film some short stuff in Chicago, hoping no one would notice the rest of the movie was done in Canada.
I think itīs the same thing here.
