When I saw the first image for the first time, i thought he was a RoboDoll. He looked like a dummy.
And I hope heŽll look less plastic in the film...

I really hope they sort that God damned hand out, because I can't shake the feeling they're going to make it some kind of transforming sex aid, like a top of the range 2lb black ribbed knobler.
And the lack of helmet really pisses me off. Gone is the emotional aspect of seeing Murphy's face for the first time, and seeing how he had been mutilated and turned into some kind of Frankenstein's monster. The best I can hope for is that this is behind the scenes and not during the actual filming and there will be the helmet/visor.
I will say that the suit looks a little better though (not in terms of design, but due to quality of photos), although the placement of the random glossy parts looks bad. The one over his sternum makes the suit look weird.
I want to see this to see how they treat Robo (badly it seems) but I really don't think they deserve my money.

I get the feeling the visor will be like a biker helmet, or Ironman, and as such RoboCop will probably show his face a lot more than he should. That is my guess anyway.

The chest area is still terrible, if you ask me. The new headpiece also solves a lot of special FX make-up problems. I hope he doesn't take the helmet off too often. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

The more and more I see and hear the worse it gets, I cant believe any of you guys can be positive about this. I mean Keatons got jeans on for fuck's sake he's supposed to be a big shot CEO right?!? Maybe he's not in this scene and was just checking it out, but if this is supposed to be OCP introducing a new product to the masses then surely he should be suited and booted?!?
Also the new suit was actually starting to grow on me from those original photos we got and I was pretty pumped for Kinnemans take on the character. However, after the photos I've seen today, Richard fucking Eden looked better without the helmet off!!!!!
Anyway hungover Robo remake rant over...................im gonna watch me some Prime Directives.

I still think the suit is going to be CG-ed over, with this plastic mess only being for lighting and rigging and scene reflection references, but obviously keeping the face and hand real. The visor will undoubtedly have a CG 'sweep' over when transitioning from full face to mouth only scenes, so its not unreasonable to think the suit could be too. Would also let them re-introduce the 'depth' and texture variance that we saw in the Omnicorp. teaser trailer, and make it look less like a bloke in a suit.
I guess A bit like how - ugh - they suited up the guy who was playing Jar Jar Binks in TPM...
... which is quality-wise the direction we can pray this film wont follow!

One last thing gentlemen, the idea of the having the Omnicorp logo on the chest plate (as long as its not huge) actually seems a good one.

When I first saw the pics for the new RoboCop suit design I was, to be polite, very disappointed and unimpressed. As, like many die hard fans of the original, Robo's design was not only way ahead of its time it blew all previous cyborg creations out of the water.
However, as more leaked footage of the suit remake has been put on line, I feel the design has grown on me. Yes, it does bare certain similarities to Iron Man, G.I Joe, Bat Man and even the Power Rangers!!! Even one fan made a stark contrast to The Thing in Fantastic 4!!! Trust me if you see the pics of both then I think you will see the connection.
But from newer pics which zoom in closer upon the suit, there is more to this new design than meets the eye. When a teaser trailer was posted some time ago for the reboot it very cleverly paned across details of the new design. Hints of laser red seemed to blend in and highlight elements of the suit. The new helmet design seems to follow this pattern, where the front visor and crown of the head are covered by a tinted visor which can slide back to reveal RoboCops face. When the visor slides back to cover the face, a red laser line shines through across the eye line. Bio - Systems On line!! As with Hollywood's expertise in bringing "big" to the "big screen" and with lighting, sound effects and movie magic, the suit will look amazing. As for the plot, acting and cast choice, I will hold judgement for now.
To finish, I saw that Sam L. Jackson has been cast. Is there not a movie where this actor will not be in. Hey, you don't think he is going to enlist Robo to be part of the Avengers!!! With what Hollywood dreams up it wouldn't surprise me.....
