Okay, I'm sold. I really like his new look, based on these new pics. I like the new sleek, futuristic look. The black has even grown on me. I'll admit I've been one of those sci-fi geeks/moviegoers that's kinda tired of everybody wearing black in every movie, but I think it suits this new Robocop just fine. I love the details in his armor, and I like his new Auto-9, if that's what they're even calling it this time...
The only thing I'm not 100% on board with is the right-hand. That still kinda bugs me. It immediately reminded me of that scene from the original film where Bob Morton shakes hands with Robo's new right-hand, and it almost crushes it. That was one of the appeals of the original design; he had robotic hands that could do some serious damage. Why would you have this super-human cybernetic body only to be hindered by a fragile human hand? Meh. I hope they explain it well in the film. Otheriwse it doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me.
One other thing I find very cool...I like how they're making a big deal out of Robocop in the film by having a formal introduction and "unveiling ceremony" as it were, as opposed to the original where he just kinda shows up one day at the police precinct unexpectedly, and then suddenly there's this new cybernetic cop walking the streets with no heads-up to the public or anything. I mean, in one way it's awesome because, number one, it showed how OCP just did what they wanted and they didn't have to let anybody in on anything....they just strolled right on in and did what they wanted. That's classic OCP. And to have this mysterious cybernetic cop coming from who knows where to start cleaning uo the streets...it was just a cool scenario that looked and felt real in the film. Having said that though, it seems much more realistic and true-to-life to have a corporation unveil something like Robocop to the public with all the press coverage, pomp, and circumstance that things like that usually garner in the real world. It makes more sense and I like it. Very cool.
It's settled. I'm officially on-board. I just wish someone would fix that damn hand. (lol)

The helment looks great, the neck area is kinda neat.
The suit overall looks like complete garbage. The details are softe and uninteresting, there's no visual lines of direction.
You look at the helmet, and from that it looks great, because its well defined. The rest of the armor looks like vacu-formed garbage. it looks like a stuntsuit
He also looks like a Gatchaman with a loaded diaper in this shot.

and really? They couldnt come up with some interesting details for the back of that head? really?
and Beer is bipolar,
You can sugarcoat this all you want. Im not mad because they changed the suit, Im made because they made a shitty one.

That right hand is bothering me, I guess we will have to wait and see the official promo of RC 2000 on the Omnicorp website or to see the first trailer to find out WTF is with that bare hand, as it ruins the hole concept.
BTW have any of you have any info on the possible date for the first trailer?
For a Move that is out in less than 10 months from now i hope that there will be a teaser soon.

The more I see of the suit, the happier I get. Some of those shots were totally awesome, specifically the ones where you could see the gun clearly and shots of his back. First of all, the helmet is great! I've been on the fence about the red visor for a long time, but I am now totally sold on it, as well as additional red details being added to the suit. Now that I see the suit without it's monotone black I am liking the coloring in general a lot, but wow does that visor pop! The shots that show the red lights on the back of his head and gun also excite me.
Sure, they have drastically changed some things about the design, but it's looking sleek and modern, yet still instantly screams "Robocop" when you see him with the helmet and gun. Speaking of, it looks like Josh (I believe is who said it, correct me if I'm wrong) was right in saying that maybe the reason for the exposed hand is for better dexterity for holding the gun, and it will be filled in later. Along the same lines, i'm thinking that Kinnaman is quick to remove the helmet between shots, and that he will be wearing the helmet more than previously thought in the movie, which would just be excellent. That was my beef with the previous photos, but now I'm thinking that was just between takes stuff, which inspires hope.
One thing I can say is that Robocop is really starting to look like Robocop. The shots of him pointing the gun, and a couple of shots of him from the back really give me that classic Robocop flavor. I'm not 100% sold on the suit, but it is looking a little better each time we see more. Now I'm able to somewhat visualize what the final design, what with the red lighting and metallic elements digitally, could look like, and I now think they may actually deliver a truly satisfying Robcop for today's generation.
Speaking of today's generation, I loved the shots of people protesting the Robocop. The idea that people are upset Robocop's could be taking jobs from American citizens is just perfect for today's day and age....I feel like that would really happen if this scenario happened today. There definitely appears to be a heavy focus on satire and political commentary, and that is just another glimmer of hope.
So far this is the best look at Robocop we have gotten, and what a great look it was! I know I'm not alone in feeling more secure about the film after this update. I haven't sold my soul over to the production yet, but I am inching ever closer.

I was looking to an old post that i did here:
"For a realistic movie:
I think he can keep his auto-9... maybe chambered to auto-45 (better stopping power) as a backup weapon (maybe a modified version of the HK MK23 pistol). Plus, he could use other weapons like submachineguns, shotguns and rifles as well (but with almost perfect precision).
His technology would be useful to the tactical teams inteligence service - he can hear better, see long distance, watch behind walls, in the dark, capture digital communication, unlock electronic locks, hack computers in distance etc. He must be conected to the internet all the time.
All of those things would speed-up DPD SWAT reaction to the situation in hands. His new design should bring him to the action sequences a bit faster.
One last thing - i think robo's will be less metallic than the original. In the 80's, metal was the future, today industry is focused on lighter - hard impact plastic materials (see Glocks X Colts 1911).
Yeah, i really think that Robo will look like a Glock. He will be more weak, but easier - and cheaper - to fix and upgrade. He will be lighter and faster and finally fit the infamous and my personal choice Ford Taurus police cars. "

Looks like i got the future under control!

Yeah, i really think that Robo will look like a Glock. |
I think he looks like a Cock. A big black rubber one. Sony can sit on it.
That looks like complete shit. Kid yourselves if you want, but its does. It looks like a really crappy cosplay outfit. Nothing about that looks like a Robot. It's an asshole in a rubber suit. Hope he stores the gun in his ass. It would complete the ignorance of it.
Robocop..I mean really...yeah right.
DarkKnightIronTronMan more like it.

Be interested to see now how much of Murphys body they saved this time, were as in the original he wasnt even a corpse maybe in the remake there is a lot more, his right arm to start with and maybe his legs. Could account for why it looks more like a powered oversuit than a robot.
