TODD-209 : | Meh...it looks like a Delta 6 Accelerator suit from G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra to me. |
and even that suit was a rip off

Now I really enjoyed the new "suit", (the one now bulkier and more metallic)
Well, in fact I don't call it a "suit" as that is his body... or should I say it an armor?
About the comments about Brazil's film industry... well... as I'm a brazilian I know most american people and even people of the entire world don't really know about Brazil at all.
Some people, especially some dumb americans still think we have monkeys on the streets, jungles everywhere (indeed wild life) and they don't even know the federal capital of the country.
I already saw people saying Rio de Janeiro is the capital federal of Brazil (only because of the popularity and the beauty of the city around the world) but in fact Rio was the federal capital until 1960.
And some people still think Buenos Aires (federal capital of Argentina) is the capital of Brazil. Well, the name of the capital is Brasília and it's located in the Federal District (in the center of the country)
Some people still think we talk spanish, a sister and latin language of the portuguese, the language we really talk.
Well.. we are now the 6th world economy behind of USA, China, Japan, Germany and France, we surpassed United Kingdon last year and mailny we are now a very well established democracy with an admirable political system with electronic ellections, free press, freedom of speech and so on.
Brazil's movie industry is becoming great and serious but still depends sometimes of public (indeed governmental) financing especially with some independent movies as the only real movie industry here is the Globo Filmes and Globo doesn't need public financing as it's owned by the 2nd largest TV Network of the world called Globo.
See ya!

Found this new version of suit !? Could be one of the earlier ones ? EXCITED NOW !!!!!!! |
The picture is gone, but I suspect it's the one posted in the other thread. Not one of the Robosuits though, none of the hands are exposed like the other suits, and on top of that, I've seen those same robots when I was on the set of the film, and there were being shipped around while RoboCop was running around wearing the V1 suit which looked like the leaked concept art.

Ok I wasn't sure which thread to put this in and I think this subject may be being discussed elsewhere. Anyway, I found this link talking about the VFX process that went into the 'Synths' in the new Total Recall. While I feel pretty much the same as most of you about the RC remake, I'm still interested in it and have been pretty disappointed with the suit so far. But reading this gives me a little more hope about the suit and it makes sense that they'd use the same technique on the RC-2000 suit. By that, I mean I think it will look much better and different when all is said and done and I'm confident he will look much more like a robot and less like a guy in a suit. Complete with visible cables and pneumatics/hydraulics. I hope I'm right anyway.

I do like the suit design but i do see why a lot of fellow robo fans think the the suit looks to much like a rubber and plastic type mix. But i do believe that this is still not the finished product that we will eventually see when the movie premieres or when the first trailer is introduced(hopefully with clear footage of robocop). Some details of the suit will probably be CGI and i also heard that there are supposed to be different versions of his suit for various occasions ex. when hes in combat and when he is not. Either way i am holding high hopes for this film hopefully they wont be shattered as i am a huge fan of the original Robocop.

Josh : | CrimeDoesNotPay : | @josh mind sharing the secret on how to stomach something like that ? don't get me wrong, i'd like to see that design on a new Super Force or another movie but combined with the Robocop title i just can't |
Because I'm mature enough to.
I still don't really like it as some do, but by accepting it I can at least rationally talk about it and not reduce myself into bitching about what others have to say.
The script is still shit though. |
Agree, however it maybe a suit you cant stomach.. but atleast there is a suit to make a film with!
i have been waiting for so long to have a new robo film to erase the mostrosity of R3 and the series'.
Personally i dont like the suit, but if it means new movie then bring it on!
Worse case, it would look like josh's Avatar :P
