This is getting confusing!!!!
But.... can not consider it anything other than good news. After Dynamite seriously mistreating the RoboCop character I would hope this new company knows what the hell they are doing.
That said I am not familiar with the company or the artists so I have no idea what to expect.

It looks like Frank Miller is involved so maybe it'll at least be an improvement over Dynamite.

BoomComics has done some licensed comics with Planet of The Apes and Blade Runner so maybe this run has potential.

Unless it's another run of Frank Miller's Robocop adaptation with new artists...hard to tell from that teaser pic.
I'd rather see new original storylines.

That seems likely. I don't see him wanting to return to the character at this period in his life. But who knows.

Redoing RoboCop 2 one more time? Isnīt it weird?
Anyway, letīs see whatīs going on. And if Dynamite doesnīt get the license, what will happen with the RoboCop Omnibus? On some pages it says that itīll be available in July or August...

Boom have a good track record with Disney-related comics as far as I know, so I'm willing to give them a shot. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

I'm hoping it's as sharp and visceral as we would expect, but some of Miller's later choices regarding character's he's written for have been a bit, shall we say, strange.
"I'm the God damn Batman" anyone?
Still, I am looking forward to this. As long as it's violent and has a nice dose of dark humour and satire and actually respects the character I'm all for it. Oh, the art has to be worth a damn and the overall product not a steaming pile of shit.

Check "Holy Terror" if you didnīt read it. I was expecting an over the top "propaganda" comic, and I was so dissapointed about the lack of story on the comic. And he spent 10 years making it...
Some of the pages are gorgeous.
I hope heīll be "80īs/90īs mad" and not "2000īs bad", but who knows what heīll do. Also, itīs weird that the series will premiere on August, since heīs busy as hell with Sin City 2 and the Xerxes graphic novel.

I'm gonna give it a big guess and say that the comic will be an adaptation of a Frank Miller idea. He has basically written a very brief short story or synopsis and Steven Grant then took that and made it into a comic script. Millers part in this is probably very limited.
Of course, it is pure speculation from my part but that was kinda what was done with the Robo2 script to comic deal. Steven Grant took Millers messy script and turned it into something readable. Well, almost.

I was gonna say "I'm the God-damn RoboCop" , but who knows, this might be alright.
Miller being involved could be good, of course it can be a crazy mess. Hopefully it might get somewhere in the middle at least. I agree it seems like an odd time considering the other stuff going on.
After Avatar and Dynamite, I would hope things couldn't get any worse, but.. bah - we'll see. _________________ I don't wanna pay that, PhotoBucket. Now maybe you haven't heard, but I'm the guy in old Archive. So hows about you just shit snow for a year and I'll figure out something else. Sayonara!
