The first trailer has been rated 15 by the BBFC in the UK. Looks like the movie itself will be rated 15 there too, the trailer is not likely to have a higher rating than the movie! Perhaps this will not be as kiddy friendly a PG-13 as people think. Could be a very strong PG-13. _________________

What I found interesting in the Sneak Peek that Robo is sitting behind a desk with his collegaues, it seems that when Robo is not fighting crime, he needs to do the paperwork like a normal cop.

That scene is also where he pulls the gun on an officer and looks battle damaged. Me thinks that he's only sitting in the chair because they are there to tackle a dirty cop. Although the thought of RoboCop filing his paperwork does make me laugh. _________________

...and if anyone else has read the leaked script, if the scene is the same as written the "Bad cop, Robocop" line is actually a great punch line to something that happens just before it is said.....

I have to admit, the 15 second teaser is much more interesting than the entire first trailer. Like someone pointed out, the left turn in the police deparment was very weller-esque.

I totally agree with you....this 15 sek preview is far more interesting to me rather than the first trailer although it just might be to the fact that we were expecting too much or too less from the first trailer....any way I'm waiting for Friday now with fingers crossed.

To me, this makes the film look worse.Yeah that walk is a nod to 87 but it looks really cheap in this to me Ed's CG looks terrible.

After seeing that sneak peak it makes the movie feel a little darker like Robo is going to go against the corrupt system that he was made to enforce (quite relevant in today's society) even Gary Oldman's character saying hes undoing what we did to him.
As for the rating if it's a 15 rated movie (in the UK) I'll be happy with that, saw a 15 rated movie last night the violence was great obviously not on par with 18 rated movie but most 18 rated movies over here get that rating for sexual content rather than violence.
And robo's movements look very Weller which is a added bonus because we haven't really seen him movie all that much, and the suit is starting to look better on screen. Maybe I'm just accepting it or maybe because in the clip you still don't see it for very long.

I still canīt see this RoboCop being bulletproof. Canīt imagine the suit getting sparks and bullets flying.
As for the sneak... A little of The Dark Knight Rises trailer here (the explosion), a little of the original RoboCop movie (ED-209) and a little bit of a lame buddy movie ("Bad Cop RoboCop". Are you serious?). Letīs see the final trailer in a few days, but for the moment Iīm not very interested on the film.

This sneak peek trailer was a positive experience for me. The scene where we see Robo sitting in the chair suggests me the following things:
After the car bomb accident and after rebulding his body, RoboCop is still Alex Murphy. From the first trailer we know that when Murphy wakes up he remembers everything, and he reacts like a normal human. We also know that OCP controlls him, but I think they not brainwashed him or something, OCP wants that Robo should react like a human policeman to avoid the citizens negative reactions.
I also think that when Robo returns to service, he continue his job as a detective, OK not like Sherlock Holmes or Hercule Poirot, but I think when Robo isn't kiling the violent criminals like a combat cyborg, he do the detective's job like examining crime scenes to obtain clues and evidence, prepare charges or responses to charges, or information for court cases, etc..
In the TV series they tried to show the detective side of Robo, but they did it in a very stupid way.
There are a lot of questions and I am very curious how will the movie explaine them, for example why they need to transform Murphy to RoboCop to save his life? (because it would have been enough to replace only his missing arm and leg). It is also very strange that when Murphy wakes up he wears the silver armour, I mean imagine that you wake up from a coma and you see your body covered with steel, it would be shocking for everybody.
By the way in the sneak peak trailer I saw somebody with grey/blond hair, he looks like a crime lord and the scene took place in an illegal armory or something, is he the main villain?

Ugh, that line.
It was one of the things that sucked in the script and isn't much improved here.
The sneak peak does give a little more away. It's interesting to see the RC-2000 sat down like a regular human confronting I'm guessing a corrupt officer, but even so I'm not blown away. The robotic movements were relieving to see as is some battle damage, even though if you pause it it does look a little shit.
