A new variant of the NECA figure is now available for Pre-Order! It's RoboCop with a blue, pixalated paint-job that represents his early video-game sprite from the NES games. It also comes with an all-new box.
I gotta admit, "IIIIIIIIII LIKE IT!" _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

It´s a funny concept, but this is getting old. I mean, how many versions of the same figure they´re going to do?

I was thinking that very thing until I saw the box. I'm buying it for the box.

FUCK this package is AWESOME. The figure is ok, i think it is paintjob not so accurate to simulate pixels.

The Box is nice. (wonder if the box damage was a design choice, or someone intentionally roughed it up for the photos)
I see they didn't stick with the plain figure, they actually used the Gun Holster figure. Expect this figure to look awesome in person. But I agree with Chan0od. This is getting old. Bring on a helmet-less Robo already.

I suppose it could also serve as a base for R2 customs. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

Concepts cool,But the execution I'm not feelin' it..I'll get one cause the idea is neat but that's it..I love the NECA Robo but I also have to be honest I'm a little bugged with them over how much they've whored out this particular sculpt..Come on NECA give us something new!

Even though the paint is actually not completely accurate to his first NES appearance (as his sprite was grey), the box is just too damn cool!!
The front and the back are nearly identical to the NES box (I have it sitting right here for comparison), but the screenshots on the inside is what makes it for me, especially the one showcasing RoboCop's internal works from the intro of the game...
I really love the box!! _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

Look like they have gone only for the NES intro colors. ( where robo is extremely over the top mega blue. )

I don't have the thing. I'm talking based on PixelDan's review. All I can do is provide pictures of the NES box for reference.
Archive, I actually hadn't thought about that. They have nailed the cutscene look.
And, just because I can't stress it enough, I love that box!! _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

I'm with Archive, it evokes the pixeled ilustrations you would find in the menus, intros and "cinematics" of those old games, not the Robo from the actual gameplay.
I think it's a funny idea, a curiosity only for diehard collectors.
