I got these last friday and watched them all over the weekend. they're amazing, so much content on there.
RoboCop 2 especially has a lot of behind the scenes type footage. The crowning jewel is behind the scenes footage of the graveyard scene. Not the actual film of the scene, but handheld camera footage of the scene being shot by the crew.
Loved hearing more about Cain as well.... I wish his character would've been fully represented in the final film. He was supposed to be shown addressing a crowd of thousands of his followers. Instead we got a tiny snippet of him talking to a camera on Mediabreak....
What really comes through about R2 is just how good the film is despite all the problems it faced in production... a rushed schedule, swithced out directors at the last minute, etc.... and thinking about how it could've come out differently. A really interesting film with a lot of what-ifs, that has actually held up pretty well after all these years.

Any chance of some clips or screengrabs, guys? Just as a teaser. Doesn't look like we're going to get it anytime soon here.

So how many of you have gotten the new R2 and R3 disc? What did you think?
Overall, i would say that the documentary quality is ok at best. The production and editing is pretty amateurish, but there IS some interesting stuff in there. ( Although most of it has been told before) Hope RoboDoc does a better job of digging up new and interesting stories.
Naturally the region lock is a problem for Robofans outside the US. For me living in Sweden i had to rip all video content using a program to be able to see it at all. Inconvenient to say the least.

I was very well pleased with it overall. Any official extras for R2 and R3 is ace in my book. That said, the production quality and editing could've used some work like you said, Archive. For the most part it all seemed a bit rushed in putting everything together. But I was VERY excited watching all the extras and some of the standouts to me were things like Dan O'herlihy's on set interview as well as Weller's where he looked kinda bored. And some of the stuff with him walking around in the suit on set. That guy who worked under Bottin on the gunarm and retooling the suit was fun pretty candid and interesting and of course the filming of the graveyard visit although some finished footage of that would've been better. Loved Dekker's commentary! Didn't get to hear all the commentaries yet because apparently my blu ray player is super old and needs a software update so I'm having issues navigating the menus. And I didn't think the transfer for R2 could get any better but that disc definitely proved me wrong.

Any chance of you uploading some snippets, Archive, improving on the editing as you've done before?
