Weller in RoboCop 3 — DEEPFAKE

Someone’s done it. Was only a matter of time.

Becomes obvious here and there on the head turns, but overall, it’s absolutely fucking incredible and the detail/lighting is perfect when it works. There’s no discernible difference in those moments. Even on the turns, his eyes are more empty and dead than they could pull off back then. That Murphy is really just a walking zombie/ghost; inhuman.

Shame the animator didn’t leave Burke opening and closing his eyes during the Fleck & Lazarus chamber-scene. Thought that was a nice touch of Robert’s to convey Robo’s power was low. He was drained and in need of sleep to recharge.

Man, just seeing that makes R3 go from less than mediocre to near good instantly!

I feel like an irrational fanboy, we lost so much without Weller in R3...

Would love to see a full length version of this R3.

On a side note, the future of deepfake can change movies how we know them.

That being said, Deepfaking has been getting scary good and it's only a matter of time before it's being exploited in Hollywood to its fullest.

Very cool to see a deepfake putting Weller into that movie. Side note, the consoles on the left of Robocop when talking to the girl Niko were used in the semi on the show knight rider as monitoring systems for kitt. Same for the left and right consoles when Murphy is covered in flashburn in the Robocenter.

From an animation standpoint, his face in the Deepfake is incredibly stiff, especially when he speaks, the mouth just seems to be going up and down. If they could go back and fix these issues, this would be really awesome..... also some alteration to the voice wouldn't go amiss!
