A pretty neat new fan RoboCop game to look forward to. In this gameboy style title Robo will face predators, Terminators and many other classic action movie characters.
The game is aiming for an early 2024 release date and it is looking very fun so far.

As I said on Instagram, I´m glad they kept working on it. I played one of his (or they) games before, the TMNT "Cowabunga" and it´s a really fun, good one, so I´m looking forward for this one.

Unfortunately this game is for PC only and not Mac so I will not be able to play it. I don't suppose there is any chance of a physical Gameboy release? I still have my GBA but not planning on getting a PC anytime soon.

Definitely.
Managed to complete it today. It's a pretty short game.
Not sure i can really recommend it though. As it's designed as a Gameboy game a lot of the problems comes from that.

As we already talked on social media it´s cute, but I wish they toned down all the cameo crazyness and make a proper RoboStory. It felt a little bit more like a spoof than anything with McClane, Walker and all these appereances (which doesn´t add anything to the game itself, since they only appear in the "cutscenes").Difficulty gets crazy after the first screen, but once you get used to it it´s fine.

Finally sat down to play.
As a retro throwback, it's a pretty excellent game. Good graphics, some, albeit little, gameplay variety, responsive controls. It has its quirks - like how the enemies absorb your bullets even after dying or some bosses starting to shoot while Robo's still in his "start stage" animation. Difficulty's not too bad. Stage 1-2 is a bit annoying, but most of the bosses are a total joke.
A very decent effort and a recommended play.
Spoilers:
The target practice and flying levels (love that they included the gunarm and flightpack) were a really nice touch and I liked the original boss designs and the inclusions of both ED and RoboCain. The cameos are a bit much, I agree, though I absolutely lost it when Ryoma Kagawa from Winspector showed up. Still, I probably would've preferred a more "serious" take on the story. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!

Would you say it was fun to play?
I'm debating it myself as i found my play-through to be a bit of a chore. I have no real desire to play it again really. Part of it was entertaining, but some levels were just something that had to be worked through.

You have a point there. I enjoyed it, because it'd been a while since I'd played anything at all and it provided a nice distraction... but it doesn't have true lasting appeal that makes me want to play it again. It definitely needs a bit more polish in that regard. It's competently made, I've certainly played a lot of commercial games that are way worse, but not something I'll go back to over and over again. _________________ Anything you post can be used against you!
