Another thing I heard was that the online aspect will be downloadable from the PlayStation store and most likely at a price...

How do you transfer pictures to your PS3, i have a USB stick but it won't recognize any i put on it, do they need to be some sort of special format or something?

I put the stick in and press triangle and choose 'display all'.
Then it should show all of the files and you will find the images in them. Remember, whatever you are looking for has to be in the right place on the Xross Media Bar.
For example, to see your music, you have to be on the music tab etc.
And Europe got some pretty good stuff on the PlayStation Store. Skate, Jericho, Stuntman: Ignition and Bladestorm.
Fun times...

I just downloaded skate, I'll have a try later on.
Just got a new PS3 mine stopped working, took Sony less that 12 hours to have a new on at my door, good stuff guys.
Managed to get the USB stick to work, just needed to put the pictures in a folder called PHOTOS.

I'm playing through Uncharted Drakes Fortune at the moment, LOVING it.
Gears of war meets Tomb raider but managing to be much better than that sounds.

I currently have gotten Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, and COD4 for christmas.
