ROBOCOP
Crime Prevention Unit prototype developed from technology pioneered at OCP New Technologies by Dr. David Kaydick. The brainchild of late Security Concepts VP ROBERT MORTON, the RoboCop Program was initially conceived as a contigency against the ED-209 Enforcement Droid Project sponsored by the late RICHARD JONES.

When design flaws rendered ED-209 unviable in urban deployment applications, development of a prototype Crime Prevention Unit was stepped up to provide adequate worker security for the construction of DELTA CITY.

Initially assigned to the Detroit Police Department, RoboCop was retained during the changeover to DELTA CITY SECURITY and provided with Special Auxiliary Status. Since his initial deployment ten years ago, ROBOCOP has defended Delta City faithfully, helping to make it truly "The Safest Place On Earth."

Now, ten years after his "birth," RoboCop is starting to feel his age. Once the shining symbol of all that's good and right in the world, he's now looked upon as out-of-date. Still driven by his preprogrammed PRIME DIRECTIVES to Serve the Public Trust, Protect the Innocent and Uphold the Law, he does his job as best he can. But from a corporate standpoint, RoboCop is obsolete.

All attempts to duplicate the RoboCop program have proved unsuccessful. OCP Security Concepts officially abandoned all further cyborg-oriented projects shortly after RoboCop's inception, deeming the procedure "economically unviable." OCP has chosen instead to concentrate on the development of exoskeletal "bio-booster" cybernetic body armor.
